It’s that simple. Collectively, the DCS team has hundreds of years of experience getting color right in concrete. All kinds of concrete—from precast to manufactured stone veneer, cast stone, segmental retaining wall units, concrete pavers, concrete masonry units, concrete roof tile, and more.

Jim Crawford

President

Jim Crawford has been at DCS since 1976 and has been a major force in creating the long-term vision for the company. He designed and built the company’s line of liquid color dispensing equipment, an area that he still focuses on today.

Cindy Nowak

Vice President of Operations

Cindy Nowak has been involved in virtually every facet of DCS’ operations beginning in 1978, having held a wide range of administrative and management positions within the company. Cindy helped develop, install, and maintain the processes central to DCS’ quality, lab, and administrative services. As Vice President of Operations, she oversees all facets of the manufacturing, quality control, and shipping of DCS’ pigments.

Cathy Higgins

Vice President of
Sales & Marketing

Cathy Higgins has been a driving force in customer care and expanding the company’s sales since 1984. She has been an active participant in a number of concrete products trade associations including the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI), the National Concrete Masonry Association in the group’s Manufactured Stone Veneer Division, and the Cast Stone Institute. Cathy has also been active in shaping ASTM standards for color in concrete.

Jimmy Crawford

Vice President of Development

Jimmy Crawford joined DCS in April 2013. Since joining the team, Jimmy has held numerous positions throughout the company ranging from operations to accounting until finally taking his current role. Today, he is actively involved in all the trade associations across the industries in which DCS operates. Jimmy handles project management and implementation across the business as well as in DCS’ color dispensing systems.

Jimmy holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee.

Kyle Neuville

Sales

Kyle joined DCS as a sales representative in March 2021. Kyle takes care of the southern half of the United States and is also extremely active in the APA and PCI trade associations.

Before joining DCS, he served as a Business Development Representative at ThinkHR in Milwaukee.  He holds a BS degree from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.

Justin Gerhartz

Sales

Justin joined DCS in February 2023, taking on the role of Sales Representative. His territory includes the upper United States and Canada – basically everywhere that gets cold! 

Justin previously worked in the fitness industry where he was a Personal Trainer, Member Services Representative and Fitness Manager.  Justin has a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Carroll University in Waukesha.

Production & Lab Support

Tim Nowak

Plant Manager

Tim has been with the company since 2005, beginning in production. After that, Tim Nowak managed the DCS laboratory and was in charge of overseeing quality control for raw materials selection and production. In June 2021, Tim was promoted to the role of Plant Manager. Among his many responsibilities, Tim helps customers get the color they are looking for: “I’ve had people bring in everything from a chunk of a building to a paint swatch to try to have us match it.”

Frank Bence

Floor Supervisor 

Frank Bence has worn many hats at DCS since 1992—production positions, warehouse manager, and maintenance—and is currently our floor supervisor.

Jim Hendrickson

Sales & Service Support 

Jim Hendrickson joined DCS in 2001 and is primarily responsible for designing, building, and servicing our line of liquid color dispensers.

Sharon Christiansen

Office Manager

Sharon Christiansen worked in the lab when she joined DCS in 1991. Since moving to the headquarters office, she has held every office position and is currently DCS’ office manager.

Accounts Receivable

Julie Katorski has worked in accounts receivable with DCS since 2008, in addition to helping in our call center and supporting order entry.

Carol Maas 

Accounts Payable

Carol Maas has worked in accounts payable with DCS since 2017. She also helps in our call center and supports order entry.

Mary Nameth

Production Scheduler

Mary joined DCS in December of 2022 in the newly created role of Production Scheduler.  Her responsibilities include maintaining our production schedule and, as the priorities of our customers change, updating the production queue and communicating those new needs to our Production Team.  Mary comes to DCS from the food industry where she held many positions related to production planning and purchasing.  Mary holds two degrees in Business and Supply Chain Management – one from MATC and one from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.
